| Stress and
Blood Sugar Under Control
“I started Seven Minute Meditation with
Shirley as a way to gain control over stress
and vastly fluctuating blood sugar. We
conducted sessions by phone where I learned
how to meditate effectively and quickly. I
also enjoyed calming short meditations that I
use often. By learning and practicing the
techniques at home, I gained mental focus and
increased concentration. I now use her
wonderful tips and reminders to “reign” in my
emotions. My diabetes is in better control
now. I’m so grateful I found Seven Minute
Meditation.

Stress Avoided, Problem Solved
“I am the Assistant to the President of a
privately funded community services
organization. Once a year I am in charge of an
awards dinner. This years dinner was difficult
because of a long guest list. The invitation
said to RSVP with an entree selection two
weeks before the event. At the last
minute one person called to give me his
RSVP. In past tight spots like this one,
I would feel so stressed I would have
immediate stomach pains and be out of sorts
for the rest of the week. This time, however,
I remembered a lesson from my Seven Minute
Meditation class and took a break, meditated
for a minute or two, and went on to calmly
contact my boss for advice. He explained
this person was very important so I should get
him in with the meal he wanted. When I
contacted the hotel I was told not to be
concerned because they would see he was taken
care of. Problem solved! I didn't panic
and ate lunch with no pain. I'm convinced
Seven Minute Meditation really works!”

How I Get Rid of Sore Muscles
“As a busy Executive Assistant I
find a massage at least once a month makes me
feel better. I heard about Seven Minute
Meditation at the Wellness Center where I go
for my massage. By attending classes I
learned how to breathe better and focus my
mind. I use meditation during my massage
now to make my body release the tense
places. Seven Minute Meditation has
certainly helped me.”

Have a
Calming Meditation Experience
“I originally met
Shirley at a writing class, where I enjoyed
being with her and learning about her
meditation. Shirley’s tone of voice and
style of speech are true gifts, warm and
soothing. She is talented not only in
her ability to write exceedingly beautiful
meditation verse, but also in her ability to
guide others through the meditations she
creates. In her classes, I found
thought-provoking handouts, offering
information for all levels. Shirley
easily shares her passion for life and
meditation. Her kind, thoughtful manner
puts even the newest beginners at ease.
From my attendance, I've gained stronger
skills for my own meditation sessions and now
find stress relief and new ideas coming to me
more easily.”

I
Found Exactly What I Wanted
“I've been meditating on my own for many years
but was never quite satisfied with the level
of focus or the ability to reach a deep
meditative state without the help of someone
else to guide me. I began working with the
Seven Minute Meditation group with the
intention of learning the discipline of
meditation and focus. Shirley's guided
meditations taught me to focus and reach the
level of meditative state I'd been seeking.
After just a few weeks I was able to use those
guided meditations on my own, anywhere - even
sitting at my desk at work. I'm calm and at
peace - and no longer have to wait for a
meditation or yoga class to meditate. “

A More Balanced Life Because of Seven
Minute Meditation
“I have always believed that setting goals was
important, and I have always had high
expectations of myself when it came to
academic performance and physical fitness. In
the summer of 2005, I was experiencing
unusually high levels of stress and fatigue
which affected my concentration and my ability
to perform optimally in both areas. What I
discovered was that through practicing
Shirley's Seven Minute Meditation, I was able
to bring these aspects of my life back into
balance with a new sense of invigoration.
Thanks to Shirley's methods, I am about to
accomplish my goal of graduating with a
Bachelors degree in Business Administration
(Summa Cum Laude).”

Great site
Great site shirley. Still think about u
a lot. And still do my breathing
exercises daily. I am juggling a more
full plate than ever, but the techniques you
taught me to transition from high pressure
work to the very different mindset needed to
be a better parent and spouse (far more
important than any job) i will never be able
to thank u enough for. I hope that one
day i will jump back in to some more sessions
time permitting, but for now breathing is
everything for me. Thank you shirley.
